Professional Print Information

We only use professional photo labs which cater to and understand the high expectations and high quality standards of professional photographers. Therefore our finished Prints and Products are of exceptional quality. And if they do not meet our standards we will have them corrected and reprinted at no additional cost to you. All Professional Prints are sprayed with Lustre Coating which is a water based environmentally friendly protective coating that gives your artwork added protection from dust, fingerprints, and fading from UV light. Below are details of all the Professional Print options we offer.

Standard Professional Prints
Your prints are developed onto Kodak Professional Portra Endura Paper. Known for its accurate color, realistic saturation, excellent neutral flesh reproduction and brighter colors, this type of paper is widely considered the standard for professional photographers worldwide.

Metallic Professional Prints
Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper offers a unique pearlescent surface that will make your images pop! Fleshtones look natural, details are crisp and colors are beautifully saturated.

True Digital Black & White Professional Prints
Ilford’s professional Black & White Paper is a special resin-coated paper specifically designed for making continuous-tone black and white art prints directly from digital images. Professional Art Print paper can be used to create black & white art but for exceptional black & white print quality, this is the way to go.

Professional Prints on Art Canvas on Stretcher Frames
Your Professional Prints are pressed onto canvas for a beautifully textured, artistic finish. The canvas is then stretched across a wooden frame. The finished product will then be durable for framing services.

Gallery Wrapped Art Canvas

A clean and modern display method used by Art Gallery featured artists worldwide. Your portraits are printed directly on fine art canvas and then wrapped around a 1.5” thick wooden frame. The sides of the frame display the sample2 edges of your image, so that from any viewing angle all you see is your beautiful portrait. This results in a stunning showpiece that will earn many compliments due to its simple but compelling way of displaying your fine art portraiture. We also offer a unique finishing service where an artist applies, with a paint brush, a clear art medium to the front of your Gallery Wrap resulting in a genuine paint brush texture. This is a gorgeous finish for painted and non painted portraits.

In addition, Gallery Wraps arrive ready to hang, with hanging hardware already installed. This means you will not have to worry about spending extra time or money custom framing or installing hanging hardware. All you need is wall space and an embedded nail. Your Gallery Wrap will come pretreated with a UV protective finish to seal and help protect your artwork from dust, fingerprints and UV rays. Gallery Wraps can then be wiped with a slightly damp, clean and chemical free cloth. Gallery Wraps can be made in any custom size from 8x10 to 40x60.

DVD Slideshows

We will create an enhanced DVD slideshow consisting of the images from your proof slideshow. Your slideshow will include the music of your choice and any client submitted text. The DVDs can then be played back in DVD-R players and viewed on your television or DVD-R playable computers. With the captivating flow of your images zooming and panning, beautiful transition effects and high quality audio playback it will be like sitting back and watching a movie. We use the latest in Professional Slideshow creation software to present a stunning and emotionally captivating picture show that you will enjoy watching over and over again.

Please note that although your custom DVD slideshow will be similar in some ways to your proof slideshow, it is not a direct copy of your proof slideshow. Your DVD will be prepared using different methods and different software creating a much more captivating experience.

The images in your slideshow will not include any further retouching other than what is seen on your proof slideshow except at the discretion of the photographer.

Digital Image Files

Digital Image files and copyright licenses are available for purchase in high and low resolution for personal use only.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the quality or the print output for any images when prints are ordered from outside of our studio. We recommend ordering all prints through our studio for guaranteed high quality prints. If you choose to have your prints made outside of our studio we recommend that you have someone experienced with photo imaging software prepare your images first. Then send them in to a professional print lab which offers professional color correction based on their printers and papers. High resolution image files are optimized for crisp 8x10 prints, having your images printed at a larger print size may result in poor image quality which may include blurriness and/or pixilation. NEVER work on your original image files, always work on a copy and store your original images in a secure location such as a fire-proof safe.

Un-Retouched High Resolution Digital Image Files $40/file
Each high resolution image file will be optimized to create a crisp 8x12 print. You will receive a copyright license which will allow you to have prints made however and whenever you want as long as they are for personal use only. All of your high resolution files will be burned onto a CD and mailed to you with a paper copyright license. Please note that unlike the prints you order through us, your digital file will come with NO RETOUCHING. This is important to consider because if you have previously ordered prints from us, your digital file will look substantially different in overall color, quality and finish. Edited or retouched proof samples that are shown in your proof slideshow will not be eligible for purchase at this price.

Retouched High Resolution Digital Image Files $150/file
Each high resolution image file will be optimized to create a crisp 8x12 print. You will receive a copyright license which will allow you to have prints made however and whenever you want as long as they are for personal use only. All of your high resolution files will be burned onto a CD and mailed to you with a paper copyright license. Our Signature Touch retouching services will be included with each file purchased. Additional retouching and editing services can be purchased separately and then multiplied by 4 for your digital file to include these touchups. Even though these files are retouched, we cannot guarantee their print quality when prints are ordered outside of our studio. It is recommended that someone with experience in photo editing prepares your digital files before you send them in for printing.

Low Resolution Digital Image Files $5/file
Only valid for images that have been ordered as prints. These are perfect for posting on a personal webpage, blog, e-mailing, submitting to newsletters, newspapers or keeping on your cell phone. These are sized so that the longest side is 600 pixels and we will add the following small text line “www.gracelightnerphotography.com” to the edge of each file. These will come with no retouching except at the discretion of the photographer. We do not recommend using these files for printing due to their low resolution and reprint quality. Your low resolution files will be e-mailed to you.
