I have to show off the page spreads from The Thomas Family Book!   Because:

• A.  The Thomas Family is SO AWESOME and GOOD LOOKING!  
• B.  I am just so thrilled with out the final layout of the book evolved!

This Book included a custom metallic cover & each page spread is lovingly designed & laid out based on how the images speak to me.  I design every page spread from scratch myself and this is one of my favorite custom products to make due to how unique each set of images are and therefore how unique each book will become.  The final product is also so exceptional in quality and cannot be compared to the photo books you would buy from popular photo sharing & buying sites.

It is such a perfect way to take home all the favorite images from a session in a captivatingly beautifully story-telling way. 

The photos were taken at the gorgeous Boyer House of Central Pennsylvania College.

Mechanicsburg Family Photographer – Grace Lightner Photography

Okay so I am finding myself repeating this over and over again but Hailey is THE HAPPIEST BABY I have ever met!  She should be on the cover of “Happiest Baby on the Block”.  Her smile is like pure sunshine!

Hailey is a VIP member of our Baby Milestones Program and it is amazing how much she changes from each session.  Since her 6 month session, she couldn’t sit up by herself and was not mobile…  But woah, at 9 months she is not only sitting up, but she is a fast crawler, pulls herself up and can stand if she is holding onto something.  And she has grown a LOT!  I think some of her clothes were 18 months =) 

Well enough blabbing, check out this doll!  She has done it to me again, I have fallen in love over and over…

And a behind the scenes story on trying to shoot Hailey with her Mom & Dad.  It was hilarious, Hailey was interested in everything else but posing with Mom & Dad.  Finally she focused on wrestling with Dad.  She grabbed & pulled his hair & patting him with glee until he couldn’t take it anymore.  Oh how foretelling these sweet little moments can be =)

It is always a beautiful thing to see how a family has changed, grown and stayed the same since the last time photographing them.  This is expecially true with the children.  It has been 2 years since I last photographed the family.  With the Lauren growing 6″ in height and 6″ of hair and Sage’s increased interactivity & curiosity of what I was doing…  it was a real treat to take in the changes of a growing and beatiful family like this one. 

Dad Bill is a coach for a Mechanicsburg Youth Baseball team and Mom Meredith is Super Mom who is also a pillar of awesomeness in the community.  (I adore her!!!). 

Another awesome thing I enjoy about working with Families again and again is that I already know what they loved from past sessions and with that in mind it helps me plan a set of new & refreshing ideas tailored especially for them.

This was a very special session too.  It was part of a Deluxe Portrait Package that was auctioned off at a silent auction with those proceeds benefiting Capital Area Head Start.  Thank you Meredith!

Those big wide beautiful eyes!  That and that perfect sweep of hair had me the moment I laid eyes on this adorable little guy.

Calvin gets his stunning looks from his gorgeous parents and I am sure he will adopt their sweet & beautiful personalities too.

Calvin’s room is described as nautical & beachy so I had to make sure we got some photos that reminded everyone of a perfect day spent at the beach.

And look… Calvin has shark swim trunks & match shark hat!  How cute is that!

Oh goodness, could you ever envision a more cuddly little Teddy Bear that you’d want to squeeze than Hailey?

I was just spoiled rotten with smiles and huge grins from this little sweetheart.  According to Mom, as soon as the camera comes out she lights up which was quite evident during her session! 

She is growing fast too!  At 6 months, even the 9 month dresses were a very close fit!  Which leaves me in delight looking forward to her 9 month session envisioning all the lovely baby rolls I hope to capture as she sits up & flashes me those wonderful grins…

I love, love, LOVE designing books & albums! 

As far as I am concerned they are the best way to show off a set of favorite images from a portrait session, especially when you can’t realistically hang and display all your favorites on the wall and table tops.

The McLaughlin’s were an awesome Family to photograph.  I love the jewel tones they decided for their fmaily wardrobe, and don’t you just adore AJ’s sweater?  If you can believe this, the photos were taken during a 30 minute  mini session!  This is not always something that can be pulled off, especially with a little one but AJ was just so super cool.

The Book starts at only $275, and considering the price of a book, you absolutely get more beauty for the price and you don’t have the added time & cost of framing all the loveliness.

Mechanicsburg Family & Baby Photographer and super cool Book Designer – Grace Lightner Photography

Little AJ is almost a year old and just the most laid back & pleasant handsome little guy. 

The family enjoys the outdoors and hiking and although they would have ideally had planned for a majority of outdoor photographs we kept our expectations low on cooperative winter weather.  Boy did Mother Nature lend an unexpected helping hand… it was a rare gorgeous day for mid January and we got a short & sweet handful of lovely outdoor shots in… yay!

At just 3 months old and what a huge difference from her newborn photos!  Hailey was alert as ever, full of smiles and ready to spread some sugary sweet Holiday cheer for Christmas.  Hailey is a VIP member in our Baby’s 1st Year Milestones Program.  So only the best for this little sweetheart!

Finally…. FINALLY!!!  I get to meet sweet little Anna.  And my goodness she is SOOO sweet!  Alison and her son Julian have been awesome friends over the years for Leilani & myself.  Definitely one of our go to playdate pals.  Unfortunately due to our mismatched schedules, sicknesses and weather it took this long to finally meet this beautiful little sweetheart. 

It was a gorgeous day though for outdoor family portraits!  November & a balmy 70 degrees!  We had to work hard to pretend it was well into fall =) 

We did things differently this year and went out to the grounds at Boyer House in Enola to do a little exploring and walking around.  A perfect setting for a beautiful family…
