I love your work Grace Lightner! Because you have s wonderful eye, the photographs are just beautiful. If I had to choose just one or two, it would be impossible!

As far a Jackie’s teaching career, she is awesome. She’s been adored by students and parents alike from her start, 10 yrs ago. Your comments added “icing on the cake”. We’re very proud of her in every way.

Erin was just so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erin was this super cool as a cucumber gal who took direction like no one I have ever seen. Her Mom even told me beforehand this is how she was and boy was she right! Erin is an excellent student and I think her superior focus just kept her spot on with everything I asked her to do. More often than not it takes people a little time to warm up to the camera but not Miss Erin…

One of the things that may have helped her is that the AWESOME Miss Jackie came in to do her hair & Make Up! Jackie also styled for a good portion of the Session and I have noticed, her magic and her presence seems to turn my Clients into Super Models! I couldn’t believe how Erin was just striking these awesome model poses for me like she had done it a million times before. Loved every minute of shooting with her! And her Mom was such an incredible presence too!

Behind the Scenes | Professional Hair & Make Up with Jacqueline Malocu

Sometimes fate steps in and delivers a magic key that unlocks a treasure chest of 24 carat inspirational gold. That is how I look at my extreme good fortune of meeting Jackie.

Jackie is an extremely talented Professional Hair & Make Up Artist with over 20 years of experience in her field. She owns Mark of Elegance Salon & Day Spa in Millerstown. She is also regularly on set as a Hair & Make Up Artist & Stylist for Commercials, Plays and other Productions. She also has 4 children and exudes one of the most awesome positive personalities I have had the pleasure to meet!

Her work and her presence is sheer magic. It is amazing to see the rise in the level of confidence in my Clients after she is done with them. I really could go on and on….

So as of October I have started recommending her to all of my clients for their Photo Sessions and to my delight the response has been AWESOME!

So Jackie came out a week and a half ago to work her magic on Erin’s Senior Session and I really wanted to share a behind the scenes glimpse of her doing her thang!

Jackie evens out skin tone with air brush foundation. Yes you hear about “being air brushed” but this is the real thing!

For Erin who doesn’t normally wear make up (or only very little), it was important to keep a more natural subtle look.

Erin also has naturally curly hair which has proven to often be unruly for her. Jackie tamed her mane right down and did this amazingly romantic updo which you will see when I reveal Erin’s Sneak Peeks tomorrow!

Here is a Before & After, no retouching on my end.

Another thing I adore about Jackie is that she is a goldmine of helpful styling tips, Clients will learn so much about hair & make up and even I always learn something new everytime I see her.

I can’t even begin to express the difference in having professional hair & makeup done prior to professional photos being taken. In terms of percentage I’d say it would make 100% – 500% difference in final look. (But with Jackie I’d say 200% – 1000%!!!!) Michelle is one of those people that you can’t wait to go hang out with. Why? Is it because of her awesome Betty Page hair cut? Well no not really (because she normally keeps it tied up) Well it is because she is HILARIOUS! Really, really, really funny! And although I have known her for a couple of years, we only really get to see each other every once in a while. However it is just enough for me to be able to pick up on this. She is SO AWESOME! And although I only just got to meet her handsome husband this session, I hear he is a pretty funny cut up too =) And of course these 2 make beautiful babies, just look at their gorgeous little girl!

Dad Tim (or as I like to call him, Andy Garcia…) has a really interesting job of creating huge audio systems for mega churches, cruise ships and stadiums all over the world. How cool is that?

And FYI Michelle loves Photography and is a budding Portrait Photographer located right in the Palmyra area!
