I was slightly intrigued as it is usually the expecting Mom who calls to book the Maternity Session. When I call them back I learn that Lisa is due NOW (which is…  Leslie & Frank are expecting their first child Hailey Elizabeth soon. The couple is definitely one of the most well traveled and adventurous couples that have been through the studio lately. I imagine Hailey will grow to have the same adventurous streak in her as well. Leslie has this gorgeous head of wavy red hair… no comments  Have you ever happened across a pregnant woman sitting alone, gazing away, lost in deep thought. Watching her you cannot tell if she is sad, worried, happy, excited, anxious, empowered or just simply content. It is a beautiful thing…These series of portraits were not only created to celebrate the beauty of the pregnant form but… no comments  For myself, the body of a pregnant woman is one of the most artistic and beautifully intriguing human forms. More than just a curvy shape to announce an impending arrival but also attached are deep and complicated emotions that are not readily addressed. The better part of society feels a need to hide it although… no comments  Amy was an amazing model, cool and easy going. She did not mind my ideas for dramatic portraits with a modern & artistic twist to the wildly popular style of contemporary and tasteful semi-nude maternity portraits. Cool story behind Amy’s Maternity Portraits, she got them done the EVENING before she was scheduled to go in and have a c-section and deliver. That means these were taken less than 24 hours prior to having her baby in her arms. Really neat when you think about it. The portraits she received will always have that unique story and circumstance behind it, a really special story to tell her daughter as she grows up. 1 comment These are some of the most beautiful maternity photos I’ve ever seen!
